Philip Kelly : Hope you and your friends are well. Really enjoying the album. Came across it as from a Dave Gahan / DM post. How easy was it to get him on board? (and never having done one of these I'm not sure if we just post our questions in here)
Humanist : Thanks Philip, really glad you're enjoying the record. Thanks to Mark Lanegan, it was a lot easier than it really should have been. Mark reached out to him and he loved the track / project and within 24 hours of receiving the track he was recording the vocal. So I guess I was pretty blessed. Two months later and a bit of back and forth between managers, I was in NYC doing a video with him.
Sławek Ziemba : Hi Rob,would you consider yourself a Depeche Mode fan, if so, do you have a soft spot for any of their tracks/albums?:)
Humanist : Hi Slawek. I would consider myself a fan of Depeche Mode - you can't really escape that influence. I was a little late to the party mind and they were one of those bands that i grew to like, and then love as they years went on. Particularly love Should Be Higher right now.
Philip Addyman : Hi Rob, playing the album every day really getting into it. Glad you made a big, long record, you must have known we'd all have plenty of listening time. Could be album of the year, although I did hear a rumour that that Dave Gahan fella might be recording a third Soulsavers album. Hope you're keeping well, yourself.
Humanist : Hey Phillip, thanks man. Yeah i heard that rumour too ha ha. Look forward to hearing the new Soulsavers record. You take care out there ;)

Humanist : "I remember this conversation, Dave Gahan and I were discussing UK British bands that we love. 'Bunnymen' came up, 'Magazine', 'The Sound', 'Joy Division', 'Chameleons'. We share a lot of influences. Curious as to what your Top 5 UK bands might be from that era?"
